The dreaded question asked of knitters

“Would you knit a pair of socks for me?”

Invariably, the answer that would spring forth from my mouth is an emphatic “no”.  But, like many other knitters asked this question, I’ll teach you how to knit – for free (providing I know the person well enough to spend the requisite amount of time to teach the basics).

Otherwise, you’d have to be very well-off indeed in order to afford a pair of hand knit socks.

How many people do you know that can afford a pair of very plain socks which cost at least $70?

That’s what I thought. ;-)
